Weddings and Civil Ceremonies

Occasions at the Blue Coat Shool is ideal for Civil Weddings, Civil Partnerships and Blessings.

The stunning exterior provides a beautiful backdrop for all your memorable wedding photographs.

Our staff will offer you friendly and experienced advice on planning your special day.

We have a preferred caterer who will talk you through a range of options, whether it is a light buffet, canapes or evening dinner and reception for your guests. We can also recommend a local, high quality florist.

The Chapel

T. Fenwick-Harrison erected the beautiful Chapel in memory of his late wife. Its style is the late English Renaissance and is octagonal in form, with a wonderful circular dome and transepts on three sides.

The Chapel is available for blessings or renewal of vows and can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people.

The organ is available and has been recently refurbished to the highest of standards or you may provide your own music. You will provide your own Minister to officiate at any of the above ceremonies.

The Boardroom

The stunning Boardroom is now licenced to hold Civil Marriages and Civil Partnerships.

If you are looking for an informal yet classic venue to "tie the knot" then look no further. The Boardroom can accommodate up to 100 guests and has the facility for pre-recorded music, or you can arrange for your own live accompaniment.

The Blundell Suite

The newly refurbished Blundell Suite can accommodate up to 50 people and has a fully fitted kitchen and servery.

The Suite may be combined with the Chapel or Boardroom giving you the flexibility to offer a larger space and provide light refreshments following the Wedding Service.

Shirley Hall

This spectacular hall, which has been lovingly restored to its former glory, is an ideal setting for a wedding celebration. The hall can comfortably hold up to 150.

The hall can be used in conjunction with the Chapel or the Boardroom to make your day a truly memorable occasion.
